This entry covers the operational side of my work: designing and maintaining self-hosted application infrastructure, consolidating services, handling deployments, backups, reverse proxies, databases, and keeping production systems maintainable over time.
A lot of the recent work in this area has been very hands-on: large host migrations with Docker-volume preservation, Coolify and Dokploy service recreation, per-container backup scripting, CSF firewall integration with Docker, Bunny trusted-proxy handling, Traefik and Apache RemoteIP fixes, and the operational glue needed to keep recoverability realistic instead of theoretical.
The work is not limited to one distro or one control model. I have worked with Debian-family systems, Arch-based setups, and Red Hat-family distributions such as Fedora, Rocky, and AlmaLinux, both with and without control panels like cPanel, DirectAdmin, and Virtualmin. It also spans bare-terminal administration, Docker-based hosting, Coolify, Kamal, and Dokploy.
